Parker is coming home Friday. I'm at once excited and apprehensive. He is such fun to be around when he's the old Parker, he also brings so much stress to our family. Always something cooking, some deal he's trying to make with us, some way to get around a rule ... really when I look back he's always been that way. The drugs just made it horrible. I pray the lying stops and his sincere desire to get well overwhelms him. I pray lots more, but mostly for Jesus to grab ahold of him ... oh how I would love to see Parker fully in love with Jesus, but I also have to get out of the way so He can!! That's hard for me, as a mom and a Christian, to get out of the way - to know when to be quiet and when to say something. So I pray.

Kirra asked for a blog post from people on where they live, what they like to do...I couldn't think of anything for awhile because we aren't go out to dinner people or go to plays or go anywhere but work, church and bible study people.

Then I realized what I like to do is be home, so I took some pictures of what I like ... these are the purple flowers that are all over the hill now, the hill I look out on every morning when I read my bible.

There are so many signs of new life in the yard, from the garden to the roses... a few of my views, a rose bush budding, geraniums, my bible and notes, the chocolate chip cookies I make every weekend, practicing now for the boys to be gone, healthy ones for Doug :-)

The table I found at goodwill, can't wait to reveal the chrome legs and find chairs for it - won't it look cute on the patio?

I love being home with my family ... I don't necessarily love my home, but I love things about it and especially now, the yard as it emerges from winter!
The purple flowers are so pretty!!
